What happened?
Sherri Papini disappeared in 2016 while out on a jog in her home of Redding, California. She was found, 22 days later, with a harrowing tale of escaping the two Hispanic women who had kidnapped her.
Several years later, she came clean about what really happened. That her story had been a complete hoax, and that she was staying at her ex-boyfriend’s home all along.
In the recent docuseries, Sherri Papini: Caught in the Lie, she is claiming she was indeed kidnapped, but by her ex. As well as why she lied and what else actually happened.
