Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Ep 1-4; Aura Highs and Lows
It's an aura dumpster fire, and we cannot look away.
In the spirit of authenticity, I must say that this show is hard for me to get into. They all look, dress and sound the same.
And also, one might ask themselves, why do I care?
*stares off into the distance in an attempt to ponder*
But once I spend about 20 minutes dedicated to this mission, I’m locked into the aura dumpster fire it is.
The way I see it, I must simply embark into the overall aura highs and lows of episodes 1-4. And even though I feel a bit dumber for watching this, my aura nerd self could not look away.
For aura review:
Aura Highs and Lows
Aura High:
Whitney isn’t victim blue anymore!
Whitney has a purple, blue and yellow aura.
Tri-Color Aura Whitney was leading with her victim blue in season one. Last time we saw her she was running away from it all, leaving a #momtok for a life of prairie homesteading. But now her yellow took back over and was like, “get those brand deals honey”, and so she did. Leading with her yellow is making her basically see the bigger picture and hang out on the sidelines. Instead of contributing to the drama, her purple got out the popcorn and started just kind of watching it while idly making snarky comments. It's working for her.
Aura Low:
Taylor’s family are a bunch of purple shamers
Taylor has a purple and blue aura.
Nothing gives me more anxiety than basically any scene with Taylor, her new baby and her family. She is running hot mess purple this season, her need to stay in the vibe of chaos for survival - both in her life and her role as a front runner of this show - seems to be taking over completely. Her family looks like they shame her relentlessly, while running behind her picking up the scraps for themselves to feast on. She’s both the scapegoat and main character of the family, a space they seemingly enjoy projecting their own self-loathing upon. I mean, it makes lots of sense she's had relationship issues. As a purple, Taylor naturally does find a need to be creative, impulsive and dramatic. But this show along with her own programming from a lifetime of purple shaming seems to have thrown gas on the flame. I am ACTUALLY worried about her self-destruction and self-harm.
Aura High:
Mikayla’s turquoise got feisty!
Mikayla has a turquoise and yellow aura.
Did you ever just want to grab someone by the shoulders, look them in the eye and tell them, “YOU ARE TURQUOISE!”? Well, that's what I wanted to do all last season when Mikayla seemed to be disappearing right in front of our very eyes. With her skin issues, auto immune challenges and watery vibration, she was needing to be seen and loved. I do feel like she did that for herself and is coming back for season two with lots to say and nothing held back. To top it off, she's also role modeling for others that everyone has a RIGHT to say what they need to say and not shove it down for others’ comfort. Turquoise auras tend to disappear when they feel worthless, so Mikayla’s strong turquoise aura this season is a major win. Will she go overboard with it? I mean, probably, but it's a learning curve to be a vocal turquoise.
Aura Low:
Zac still has a chameleon aura
Jen has a pink, purple and blue aura.
Zac has a purple and blue aura but wears green.
Oh, wow. Where to begin.
*big, dramatic sigh. randomly fantasizes about a sips soda*
So last season, we saw these two just combust on camera. It doesn’t take a genius to know that actual, real life, Mormonism and a marriage within it isn’t going to be super-duper cool with something called #momtok.
Zac’s aura is so programmed, it's hard to tell what he is. He has that empath guy aura, but over time he absorbed a need to wear a bit of a front. I call this “chameleon” auras, and it happens when someone feels like they cannot be who they are but also isn’t connected to that truth at all - which makes it different from regular old imposter syndrome which most of us have.
He is trying to come off as a patriarch, stand up Godly man, etc. But there are cracks that apparently are Jen’s job to fill. Thing is, she obviously got sick of filling them and joined a swinging, brand deal making, social media hoopla loving, reality show inducing, money full world called #momtok.
Jen’s pink aura can do the pink bubble thing, meaning she can keep things looking cute, pretty and perfect. But her purple has been talking the past two seasons. In an attempt to burst that pink bubble so as to get a reality check, and in an attempt to challenge that programmed to people please ego hijacked blue aura, she's been doing some purple bombs.
Here a list of purple bombs I have noticed so far:
This show
#momtok
Her little truth bombs about Zac she tells on cam but then regrets and lies about
Basically, ANYTHING that makes Zac have to deal with his purple/blue aura head on is her way of making sure she exposes him in truth. Jen is obviously majorly conflicted, and having to go back and forth between everyone, so she's taking the heat for “lying” about Zac in order to keep her household together. The pink shields her from the fall out, the purple begins again, the blue attempts to keep the connections calm… and the tri color cycle continues.
It's stressful to watch.
I will say he has a point about how illogical it is to have these kinds of “friends” in your life. I mean, it does feel stress inducing and toxic and he’s not wrong about that part.
*realizes in horror she just agreed with a chameleon aura*
Aura High:
Miranda didn’t take off her crab hands
Miranda has a yellow, purple and blue aura.
We don’t know a whole lot about her, other than some sort of #momtok “swinging” allegations, but what we DO know is that she will keep her outfit together no matter what hellscape unfolds around her. And perhaps that's the yellow aura’s way of maintaining order in the tri-colored tornados which ensue.
Aura Low:
We had to meet Chase
Chase has a red and purple aura.
Along with the delightful crab hands, came the not so delightful Chase. But his red aura is working his 15 minutes for all its worth, in a hot mess purple kind of way, and for that we applaud the aura hustle.
*decides not to give Chase a picture on here because I am already nearing the limit on my image space for this post. feels powerful about it*
Give me your highs and lows from episodes 1-4… and do it in aura color if you feel like it! I can’t wait to hear YOUR takes.
It’s a terrible show and I love watching it!!! 😂😍
I’m loving Mikayla finding her turquoise power this season, I just want to give her a big hug! I hope her husband’s supportive because she’s been through so much. I’m curious too if with reality tv if producer shenanigans show up through aura colors? It would be interesting to see if the Chippendales dance and the NOLA trip pregnancy test game were thought up by the cast or producers— I could see it being either way with all that purple
